The Department of Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing takes pride in quality teaching. The department is a specialty of caring for women during antenatal, intranasal and postnatal period.
The department is designed for graduate and post graduate students to develop expertise and in-depth knowledge to provide comprehensive nursing care to the mothers as well newborn.
The department encourages student research in the core areas of women’s health, reproductive health, high risk pregnancy, high risk labour, high risk puerperium, neonatal care and high risk newborn.
The department further enable the students to function as care giver, independent midwifery practitioner, effective educators, lactation counsellors, managers and researchers at different settings.
